Jason Rhodes

I have been a professional tattoo artist for over 21 years. Beginning with an apprenticeship in 1992. After that I spent alot of time traveling to tattoo conventions around the mid-west soaking up any information I could get from artists from around the world. Meeting and learning from some of my biggest influences.

Before tattooing, I had done many art related jobs such as freelance graphic design, paintings and even airbrushing t-shirts in the mall to help pay for college. During college, as a fine arts student, I was fortunate to land a job airbrushing clothing and motorcycles out of a local tattoo studio that had a large retail section and an unused garage in the back.  Long story short; I landed an apprenticeship, quit college, met my wife and shortly after moved away and opened Intricate Decor in 1994.

I consider myself a very well rounded tattoo artist. I work in many styles but specialize in realism. Portraits, wildlife or taking older styles and ideas and adding a realistic flare to them.

I still airbrush. Mostly hotrods and motorcycles. Paint when I can find the time. Art is my life. Always has been and always will be.
